Nicholas Hoenich is a Clinical Scientist and Bio engineer, who is a member of the Institute of Cellular Medicine, Newcastle University.

Dr Hoenich’s area of interest is in the technology used in renal replacement therapy. He has written and lectured widely on this topic and is the author of some 150 peer group reviewed publications, opinion pieces, and other published material. He is currently the Convenor for the International Standards organisation (ISO) Technical Committee (TC) 150, Sub committee ( SC) 2 Working Group (WG) 5 dealing with Renal replacement, Detoxification and Apheresis. In addition to being a member of a number of Journal Editorial Boards, Dr Hoenich also acts as an expert advisor to the Medicines and Healthcare Products Regulatory Agency (MHRA) in the UK.
